  I got this knife for my young son, who likes to help in the kitchen but isn't big enough to wield our 8" chef's knife yet. I have actually had trouble teaching him to use the rocking, slicing motion with it because it's so sharp it STICKS in the polyethylene cutting board. The handle is big and a little rough-textured, so the grip is good even if your hands are wet. The blade is thin without feeling at all flimsy, and wonderfully, wickedly sharp.
